Maybe This Explains It.....

I hope so. Because otherwise, I just don't get what Obama has done to deserve it.

Speak Up for the Unborn

The following letter came in my email from AUL...

Dear Friend,
On Wednesday, the Senate Finance Committee’s vote of 10-13 to defeat the
Hatch Amendment proved the pro-life community correct: The talk from the White House and the Congressional leadership of avoiding funding of abortions in health care is just that -- talk.
The amendment sponsored by Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) would have explicitly prohibited federal funding and coverage of abortions. Also defeated by the committee was another amendment by Sen. Hatch that would have prevented discrimination against any individual or organization who refused to provide, pay for, provide coverage of, or refer for abortions. So what does this mean? Since the start of the health care debate, including at
our White House meeting last month, Americans United for Life Action has argued consistently that rhetorical assurances that abortion funding will not be included in health care reform are not enough. Rhetoric must be matched with action, with the addition in the bills of specific language prohibiting abortion. Since all five committees have rejected pro-life amendments which would ban abortion funding and coverage in health care, it is clear that we MUST keep questioning the gap between reality and the rhetorical assurances we are hearing from President Obama, Majority Leader Reid and Speaker Pelosi. The AUL legal team has documented for you the facts behind their myth that the Hyde Amendment would adequately prevent federal funding and coverage of abortion in health care reform. We want you to have the facts to make it easy to speak up. Now that committee consideration of health care reform is over, the “behind the scenes” negotiations begin. At this crucial stage, the Congressional leadership is going to be negotiating backroom deals with your legislators. Be aware that the next page in the pro-abortion playbook will be that Pelosi and Reid are going to try to make a deal like the anti-life Capps Amendment approach, which we oppose. The anti-life Capps Amendment approach is not acceptable because for the first time in history, the federal government will require that there be a health insurance plan that covers abortion in every area. Furthermore, the anti-life Capps Amendment permits federal money to go to insurance plans that cover abortion. I assure you, we are hearing that the “deals” being discussed by Congressional Leadership on Capitol Hill are merely anti-life initiatives in the guise of ‘compromise,’ such as the Capps Amendment approach, and this will NOT protect pro-lifers from subsidizing abortion in health care reform.
This is where you come in.
YOU need to
tell your congressman and senator that you will ONLY accept health care reform that includes an explicit prohibition on federal funding and coverage of abortion, much like the pro-life Stupak-Pitts and Hatch amendments that were defeated in Committees.
Thank you for all your support during this extremely busy time as we work to show Congress and all Americans that “Real Health Care Respects Life”!

For Life,
Charmaine Yoest, Ph.D.President & CEO

I ask that you follow the link to notify your senators and representatives that you will not stand for health care reform that uses taxpayer money to fund abortions. And please, keep praying.

FIGHT FOCA

Through my email, Americans United for Life Action has just made me aware of an effort to pass FOCA one step at a time through the Congressional appropriations process.
They let me contact my Member of Congress and encourage him/her to sign onto a letter going to Speaker Nancy Pelosi encouraging her that all pro-life provisions in the federal budget remain in place.
You can do so too at AUL Action's website, http://action.aul.org/site/Advocacy?pagename=homepage&id=133. But hurry! The deadline for Members of Congress to sign on is this Friday, February 13.
Thank You!

Don't Give Up on the Unborn

President-elect Obama might be packing to move into the White House, and already planning a devastating blow to the progress made over many years to limit abortions in various states (through FOCA).

But we, who will fight for these innocent babies to the very end, must never give up. I am trying to be accepting of the fact that Obama is our newly elected president. It is what it is. But frankly, I'm just so sick at the thought of his future attacks against the unborn.

He has already made it clear that he plans to use taxpayers money to fund abortion in foreign countries. He also plans to use taxpayers money to fund embryonic stemcell research.

So not only is he going to make it easier to have an abortion (with FOCA, if it gets to his desk), but now, without even having to have the approval of Congress, he will use our money to pay for the killing of babies in foreign countries. It turns my stomach.

It is such a helpless feeling.

There are some things we can do. There is a link at the top of my sidebar. Please click on it, and go sign the petition against FOCA.

And please keep praying. God is listening.

I saw this quote on Jennifer's blog. It touched my heart.

“When the time comes, as it surely will, when we face that awesome moment, the final judgment, I’ve often thought, as Fulton Sheen wrote, that it is a terrible moment of loneliness. You have no advocates, you are there alone standing before God — and a terror will rip your soul like nothing you can imagine. But I really think that those in the pro-life movement will not be alone. I think there’ll be a chorus of voices that have never been heard in this world but are heard beautifully and clearly in the next world — and they will plead for everyone who has been in this movement. They will say to God, ‘Spare him, because he loved us!’”

– the late pro-life hero, Congressman Henry Hyde

Where Do We Go From Here?

It's hard not to feel defeated after last night's election. When you pray, and fast, and get the word out any way you know how, and teach your children to do the same, and then vote for life, it is very disheartening to see an outcome like this.

I woke up this morning, very sad, and angry, too. I wrote a rant to post on this blog......an angry rant, but I deleted it. It was mostly towards those who voted for Obama, knowing exactly what abortion is, but putting other issues before life. I was, and am still, upset about that.

But, I was so inspired by John McCain's speech last night, that I thought I should take a lesson from him. He was so gracious, and respectful of now President-elect Obama. Senator McCain's speech was from the heart. I was very impressed.

So, what can we do now? Those of us who cherish life, from conception until natural death......always. Well, the prayers should continue, of course. Prayers for the unborn and their mothers. We can also get more active, with helping at Crisis pregnancy centers, making donations to pro-life groups, get involved with pro-life events (like prayer chains and prayer vigils) and leaving pro-life literature wherever you can. There are many more ideas listed here.

As far as FOCA goes, we need to be informed. Information on FOCA can be found here . Stay informed. Write to members of Congress as things progress with FOCA. I have never had an interest in politics, really. I've always voted, but didn't keep up to date in politics until election year. But, with where this country is now, and where it could be headed, we all need to be involved and informed. I probably should have been involved a long time ago. My wake up call came last night.

Prayers for President-elect Obama, too, are greatly needed right now. He may come across as the Mr. Smooth-Talkin' Man of Change, but he is in for a whopper of a job. He has been given a HUGE responsibility that I don't think he's ready for. I hope I'm wrong. We need to pray, too, for our country........our national security will likely be put to the test again, in the near future. It is talked about here. Scary.

So, time to pick up the pieces and move on. Here are some great ideas for getting through the next few days. I will try to focus on the positives now. Here goes.......

America is still the best place in the world to live.......

unless you are an unwanted, unborn baby.

Ooooops.

OK, I'll try again.
I'll be positive, starting........now.

Have a wonderful night. Tomorrow is a new day!

Mixed Emotions

There are positives and negatives in living this close to Prince William County Fairgrounds.

The negatives?
Obama and his followers are there right now. It is so loud! They act like they worship this man. Scary. Like he's some superhero who's going to swoop down in and save the day. Those are just words people! What has he actually done in his short political career? That's all we have to go by. It's sad, really, that people are so desperate for a change, they'll believe anything Obama says. Wake up!

The positives?

A friend of mine organized a peaceful, prolife protest down the street from the fairgrounds. It was very last minute, but we made it. We made signs and drove to our local grocery store parking lot and walked the rest of the way. There was so much traffic backed up in this already congested area. They were expecting 40,000 people to come out to support this radical pro-abortion, anti-family, pro-tax, surrender-in-Iraq, smoothtalking man! And from my experience tonight, Obama supporters are some of the rudest and smug people I've ever seen. My friend got the necessary permits and we followed all the rules. We simply held signs, and sometimes prayed aloud and sometimes sang. There were about 50 to 60 of us there, up against the 40,ooo there for Obama. It was disheartening to hear some of the rude and nasty comments coming from this "cult-like" group of people. We didn't go there to change any minds. We went there to show Obama and his minions that not all of Virginia is buying his smooth talking B.S.

Now, back at home, as I hear all the noise (which luckily has subsided now), coming from the rally, I couldn't help thinking how loud they were. How many voices were shouting and yelling in support of this man.

And it led me to think of how many babies have no voice. No voice to cry out, "Why are you killing me before I have a chance to see the world?" We will be there voice. No matter how this election turns out. This whole thing has given me a renewed dedication to those precious babies. I will raise my daughters and son to cherish all life.....from conception until natural death.

And speaking of my little crew, I was so proud of them tonight. They were out there, holding up the signs, praying, singing and not buckling under the intimidation that was being thrown our way. People were rude and disrespectful, even to these children. All the children in our group, seemed to just let it roll off their backs. Taylor and Sky wanted to stay the whole time, but Evan was fussy and Alexa was tired, so we left about an hour early. A friend of mine let Taylor stay with her and brought her home after. So sweet of her.

This was the first time I've ever done anything like this. And even against all the opposition, it felt so right. We will continue to pray the rosary novena tomorrow morning, as I hope you will, too. And then I will vote.....and my oldest children will come with me. And we'll continue to pray.

Barack Obama's Mad World

(Warning: One brief image of an aborted baby at 1:10 and drawing of partial birth abortion at 1:18.)

It will become our Mad World, if we don't act now.

Please keep praying, and

vote for LIFE on November 4th.

Atrocities of Abortion

I have always considered myself to be a "glass half full" kind of person. It's just my nature. I'm optomistic and like to see the good in people no matter what. My husband thinks I'm too much that way, to the point of naivety.

That's the way I am with abortion. I have to believe that most people who are pro-abortion are just uninformed or misinformed as to what abortion actually is. If you think about it, do we ever see pictures of aborted babies? Do we see the little victims of this horrible LEGAL act on the news? No. The Press has shown us so many atrocities of war, in stories and in pictures. It's undeniable. These things are awful, and I feel so much for the people who are living this. War is terrible. It's so hard on the men and women serving their countries and fighting to protect our freedoms. I feel for their families with the constant worry about their loved ones safety and just dealing with life in their absense. I keep them all in my prayers. And then there are the many innocent victims of wars, some are women and children, and it's so incredibly sad. Thanks to The Press, we see their suffering in photos, we hear about it on the news. It's right there, in our face.

When I think about people voting for Obama based on their feelings about the war in Iraq. I understand to some degree, because they see the horrible things happening because of this war. (But, I do find it ironic that based on this pole by Military Times, many servicemen and women are backing McCain in this election.)

I was thinking of how people are compassionate about victims of war, and many are outraged at what they seek and justafiably so. So I thought (maybe the naive part of me) that if people could see the victims of abortion, just like they see the victims of war, maybe they would come to understand how brutal, evil, inhumane and unnatural it is. Maybe they would come to understand that abortion is murder. When you see the pictures, I don't see how you can deny that.

There is a quote by Harrison Hickman who spoke to the 1989 conference of the National Abortion Rights Action League, ""Nothing has been as damaging to our cause as the advances in technology which have allowed pictures of the developing fetus, because people now talk about that fetus in much different terms than they did fifteen years ago. They talk about it as a human being, which is not something that I have an easy answer how to cure."

The following are pictures taken from the Priests for Life website. They are pictures of babies, still growing and living within their mother's wombs. So if you are going to vote for Obama who vows to sign the Freedom of Choice Act as his first act as president, take a look below. See for yourself if these are just part of the woman's body, or are they little humans, little blessings that God has already given life to?

I'm not one for sharing gory pictures on my blog. Not at all. But if there is a purpose, even a need for the pictures of abortion to be shared, then I want to make them available. Partly because I have a feeling that most pro abortion people are not going to go looking for these types of pics and may never have been faced with the evil of this legal type of murder. I can't justify posting the actual pics, for the sake of unsuspecting people who happen upon them. But I will make it easy and link to pages of pictures of aborted babies.

If you are planning to vote for Obama, and ok or maybe even "all for" abortion, then these photos shouldn't bother you in the least. Go ahead, take a look. But if you see abortion for the evil that it is and you see the babies as babies and not just fetuses, then you might not want to go any further than this page. It's not a direct link to the aborted baby images, but it leads to a page at Priests for Life, and from there you can view the abortion photos.

I, personally feel that if you are voting for Obama, which is in essence voting for abortion, then you should have to see these pictures. We all have seen the terrible and sad images of victims of war, now we need to open our eyes to see the innocent victims of our own "civilized" laws. As Mary Ellen of the Bonny Blue House said, "There can be just wars, there are no just abortions."

Please keep praying the Novena Rosary. There are many precious little lives depending on it.

Obama and Babies

Defenders of Obama seem to get all worked up when he is referred to as a "baby killer". Of course he doesn't go around randomly killing babies. So to be politically correct I suppose we should call him an "unwanted baby killer". Well, that might not go over too well, either. It sounds so awful. Because it is. It makes him sound so cold. Why does he value the "choice" of the mother, over the life of the innocent child? Hmmm... Well, for one thing, unborn children can't vote.

Remember to keep praying the Rosary Novena! It's so, so important!

Hmmmmm.......something to think about.

Through special initiatives and in daily prayer, may an impassioned plea rise to God, the Creator and lover of life, from every Christian community, from every group and association, from every family and from the heart of every believer.”

I Couldn't Agree More

Read this wonderful post. Give it some thought. She makes a lot of sense.

It's Time to Pray

A Call for a Rosary Novena
By Fr. John Corapi

Among the most important titles we have in the Catholic Church for the Blessed Virgin Mary are Our Lady of Victory and Our Lady of the Rosary. These titles can be traced back to one of the most decisive times in the history of the world and Christendom. The Battle of Lepanto took place on October 7 (date of feast of Our Lady of Rosary), 1571. This proved to be the most crucial battle for the Christian forces against the radical Muslim navy of Turkey. Pope Pius V led a procession around St. Peter’s Square in Vatican City praying the Rosary. He showed true pastoral leadership in recognizing the danger posed to Christendom by the radical Muslim forces, and in using the means necessary to defeat it. Spiritual battles require spiritual weapons, and this more than anything was a battle that had its origins in the spiritual order—a true battle between good and evil.

Today we have a similar spiritual battle in progress—a battle between the forces of good and evil, light and darkness, truth and lies, life and death. If we do not soon stop the genocide of abortion in the United States, we shall run the course of all those that prove by their actions that they are enemies of God—total collapse, economic, social, and national. The moral demise of a nation results in the ultimate demise of a nation. God is not a disinterested spectator to the affairs of man. Life begins at conception.

This is an unalterable formal teaching of the Catholic Church. If you do not accept this you are a heretic in plain English. A single abortion is homicide. The more than 48,000,000 abortions since Roe v. Wade in the United States constitute genocide by definition. The group singled out for death—unwanted, unborn children. No other issue, not all other issues taken together, can constitute a proportionate reason for voting for candidates that intend to preserve and defend this holocaust of innocent human life that is abortion.

I strongly urge every one of you to make a Novena and pray the Rosary to Our Lady of Victory
between October 27th and Election Day, November 4th. Pray that God’s will be done and the
most innocent and utterly vulnerable of our brothers and sisters will be protected from this
barbaric and grossly sinful blight on society that is abortion. No woman, and no man, has the
right to choose to murder an innocent human being.

May God grant us the wisdom, knowledge, understanding, and counsel to form our conscience in
accordance with authentic Catholic teaching, and then vote that well‐formed Catholic conscience.

God Bless You
Fr. John Corapi

My children and I will be sending our desperate prayers to heaven. Won't you join us? Many, many lives depend on it.

Straight From the Horse's Mouth

"The first thing I'd do as president, is sign the Freedom of Choice Act." ~Barack Obama

Please watch this video.

It's hard to get a straight answer out of Barack Obama on the subject of abortion, unless he is standing in a room full of supporters, like the people from Planned Parenthood.

Pro-life voters that are going to vote for Obama excuse away their decision to vote for him under the pretense that "abortion laws won't change in this country, no matter who gets elected."

They couldn't be more wrong.

The abortion laws will change and Obama will see to it. But they'll change for the worse! In his own words, Obama adamently vows that the first thing he'd do as president is to sign The Freedom of Choice Act. That will make abortion laws more lenient! How can we allow that?!

NO PARENTAL CONSENT needed!

And he SUPPORTS PARTIAL BIRTH ABORTION! Do you understand how brutal that is?

BARACK OBAMA COULDN'T BE MORE IN SUPPORT OF ABORTIONS!!

"On this fundamental issue, I will not yield, and Planned Parenthood will not yield."~Barack Obama
Senator Obama makes it sound like he and Planned Parenthood are working as a team!

If you are Prolife, then do you really want this man as our president?

To Senator Biden

Click here to see Senator Biden's "explanation".

As Catholics we are to LIVE the Faith in ALL aspects of our lives.

You, Senator Biden, have the opportunity to be a powerful voice for those millions of innocent little babies that suffer in silence until death.

And you choose not to.

Your Catholic Faith, Senator Biden, defines ALL aspects of your life, ALL choices you make, including those you make during your political career.

You, Senator Biden, let your political career define your Catholic Faith.

And you will have to answer for it some day.
