We heard some good news at the Orthopedic Surgeon's office today. Taylor will be fine and the condition, called Spondylolistesis (try saying that 5 times fast), was from a fall she must have had as a toddler. The Dr. said that the tailbone pain and the Spondylolistesis are unrelated. The Spondylolistesis is asymptomatic, but was found accidentally during the x-rays (go figure!). It's very common from childhood falls and usually goes unnoticed. The tailbone was simply bruised from sitting on the sandbox the wrong way and it just takes a while to heal. The other symptoms she experienced are a mystery. We don't have the results of the bloodwork back, but hopefully there's nothing else and then we can breathe easy.
Thanks for the prayers and if you could just keep her in your prayers a little while longer, I'd appreciate it......just until the bloodwork comes back. Thanks!

Wow, wonderful news! I forgot you had said they were unrelated - tailbone and that "other" thing. Try saying that just once, let alone 5 times real fast! Very funny - heehee. Glad to hear the good news - will keep up the extra special prayers at this time but always praying for all of you! Love you all!
Sorry to hear about Taylor. If the spondylolistesis is asymptomatic, what do the doctors say the symptoms are from? I hope it is nothing serious. We will keep her in our prayers.
Mary Ann~ The orthopedist was sure the tailbone was just bruised from the way she sat on the sandbox. He said it takes a long time to heal, and gave her tips on how to be more comfortable. As far as the leg pains go, he said he doesn't know, but that it is not related to either the Spondylolisteses or the bruised tailbone. He guessed it might be just growing pains. And the headaches and weakness are still a mystery. Possibly just slightly dehydrated? And she had a very busy 4 days, going a few places each day, so maybe that had something to do with it? He wasn't worried and wanted to make sure we weren't worried either. He was actually most concerned with how much radiation she received with all the x-rays :(
Still don't have the bloodwork back, but I'll post if that showed anything. They should call Monday.
Thanks for the prayers for her, Mary Ann, and you too, Mom!
