Love this Bird Book Bargain

Found this cool book at Border's last weekend for only $9.99 on clearance and we love it! Alexa is especially happy with it. It gives a brief description of many birds, but the best part is that it plays their birdcalls with the touch of a button! Love it when we come across things like this!

Toddler Color Time

Evan's school theme has been on colors, lately. I thought I'd share with you some of the ways he's been experiencing his colors. We worked with buttons for a few days....sorting them by color..........

and making a button rainbow for St. Patrick's Day.

We used the colorful buttons to practice numbers, and counting, too.More color practice in making a rainbow fish using a fish outline and tissue paper squares.

Evan used plastic tweezers to pick up pom poms of different colors, and put them in an egg carton.Lots of fun playing with Blue sand, too!

Springtime Snapshots from our Backyard

Beautiful changes are happening all around us. I just couldn't resist taking my camera outside in an attempt to capture some of these fleeting moments, before they are gone for another year.

It's a good thing I photographed this tree when I did, because the blooms are now gone, thanks to 3 straight days of rain.

I love these little purple flowers that make beautiful ground cover beneath a tree in our yard.

Mr. Bunny was out and about. Love it when he visits!

Forsythia blooms so bright and beautiful.

And nests.....squirrels (above) and birds (below) were discovered.

The little man is crying, so gotta run!

Short on Time

So hard to keep up these days. I have really missed blogging, but just struggle to find the time for it. I hope to do better in the future, but can't promise anything. I enjoy sharing ideas, family activities, our school lessons or whatever strikes my fancy, but it's not easy. There are sooo many posts floating around in my head. Getting them on the computer is another story. So we are still here, and I hope to post some pictures and write a post soon. Hope you all are enjoying this beautiful Easter season.
